T.I.'S "PAPER TRAIL" TOPS CHARTS, BESTING NEXT-UPS JENNIFER HUDSON & ROBIN THICKE

In this week's Sales Wrap, the "King" returns as T.I. grabs No. 1, Jennifer Hudson places the spotlight on No. 2 and Robin Thicke smoothly lands within Top 5 as he debuts at No. 3.
The numbers don't lie when it comes to the self-proclaimed "King of the South" as his new album Paper Trail easily controls the top position on this week's charts. According to Nielsen's Soundscan, Tip's third consecutive No. 1 album moved 568,400 units after just seven days in stores. As a recent SOHH guest blogger Tip Kept his presence felt with a slew of music videos for hits "Whatever You Like", "What Up, What's Haapnin" and his upcoming video for "Live Your Life," featuring Rihanna.

Former "American Idol" star Jennifer Hudson followed at No. 2 with the release of her long-awaited self-titled debut. Made famous from her soulful auditions during the hit Fox reality talent show and then in 2006 when she won an Academy Award for her role in Dream Girls, Hudson has proven her vocal skills are versatile with her hit record "Spotlight," written and produced by superstar Ne-Yo. The singer recruited a star-studded line-up of artists, including Ludacris and T-Pain to offer rhymes while producers Robin Thicke, Tank, Warryn Campbell, Timbaland and more assisted behind the boards. At the end of her first seven days in stores, the Chi-town singer's debut has sold 217,200 copies.

Also making his highly anticipated return back to store shelves is soft voiced Robin Thicke as Something Else debuts at No. 3 this week. Following-up his platinum selling The Evolution of Robin Thicke, Paula Patton's husband is out to show the world it's time for a change with message-driven tracks like "Magic" and "Tie My Hands," featuring Lil' Wayne align the singer amongst the likes of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On." Keeping himself busy by touring alongside Mary J. Blige and continuing to produce songs, Thicke's album has done impressive numbers with 136,900 units sold in its' opening week.
